About Me

My name is Jason Kroeger, and I currently am attending Illinois State University (ISU) studying
Business Information Systems with a focus on the ITK side of Information Systems. I grew up in
Wheaton, llinois, and had lived there my entire life prior to attending college in Normal. I enjoy being
around other people, and can be very sociable when I choose to be. On the other hand, I can also be
very individualistic and spend a lot of time to myself, often working with computers and being an
active participant in the online community. I have marketed myself online since I was 13 years old
creating websites for professional businesses.

Being the creative and curious individual that I am, I decided to teach myself the art of webdesign
at a young age. This being an unusual curiosity for a 13 year old to have, it also shows the
extent I take to better my knowledge as an individual. Some of my first designs were very low-risk
creating websites for online organizations that needed low-cost marketing. After gaining many
referrals from online businesses, I soon networked myself half-way across the country to the heart
of New York City, designing professional websites for small dance companies (particularly affiliates
of Alvin Alley American Dance Theater), and personal websites which promote individual dancers.
This was by far my most troublesome task as a web-designer in my entire childhood career. Not
only was I clueless about dance theaters, I had to go outside of my comfort zone to produce
expected results

After people around my local area in Wheaton had figured out that I had developed this talent,
they jumped on board with me. I ended up creating websites involving inventory control businesses
to professional marketing firms. Soon, my high school figured this out and I was asked to create
the marketing brochures and calendars for our school's calendar. I truly enjoy doing this type of
work, and although it is not my aspiration to become a web-designer as my career goal, I do
feel it will remain a hobby of mine for as long as I live.

At school, I am furthering my knowledge in programming skills that will supplement my basic
knowledge of languages like Java, and Visual Basic; while giving me the opportunity
to practice my extensive knowledge with with languages such as HTML, PHP, MySQL, and CSS.
My hopes is that this practice and the knowledge I am gaining from classes at ISU will eventually
land me my dream job.

I was thrilled to hear that I was going to be given the opportunity to establish an e-business
for college credit because I have always wanted to develop a website for myself online, but have
never had reason, or time, for that matter.

Thanks for checking out my website!

Best Regards,

Jason Kroeger
